For more than 70 years, the Santella Funeral Home has served the community using a very simple creed:
“To treat every Family as if they were our own…To treat every man as if he were our Father or Brother…Every Woman as if she were our Mother or Sister.”
The funeral home, established in October 1946 by Guido J. Santella Sr., continues to serve the Altoona area in this tradition. After Guido Sr. passed away, Mildred Santella, the first licensed woman funeral director in Altoona continued this tradition of excellence along with her son, Guido and his wife, Deborah, who are also licensed funeral directors. Mildred passed in 2009 and Guido and Debbie along with their staff strive daily to live up to that creed as they serve the community.
