Ann J. Savine

March 3, 1924 – March 25, 2017

Ann J. Savine, 93, Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, formerly of Altoona, passed

 away Saturday at the home.

She was born in Osceola Mills, daughter of the late Daniel and Adeline “Lilly” (Lepre) Martin. She married George Savine on April 23, 1946, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona, and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2015.

Surviving are five children: Sherry Snively (Don) of rural Roaring Spring,

 George Jr. (Judy) of Altoona, Marcia Glunt of Altoona, Patrick (Dawn) of 

Florida and Mary Francis Diamantis (Dimitri) of Bensalem; six 

grandchildren: James Snively (Julie), Rebecca Snively, Matthew Snively 

(Danielle), Danielle Deal (Stephen), Jason Glunt and Michelle Brooks; two step-grandchildren:

 Elizabeth Nixon and Patrick Annesty; seven great-grandchildren: Alyssa and Ayden Deal, Jadyn

 Glunt, and Rachel, Katie, Olivia and Anne Snively; and two step-great-grandchild, Asher and

 River Nixon.

Ann is also survived by a sister: Clara Martino (Dan) of Hollidaysburg; A very close niece, Karan

 Pasquariello, and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband; two sisters: Mary Sinisi and Rosella

 Pasquariello; a brother: Charles Martin and a grandson, Jeremy Glunt.

Ann attended Altoona area schools and graduated from the Reedmar School of Beauty in New

 York. She was a homemaker and previously had been employed at Mary Hall's Salon and


Ann was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, the Altar and Rosary Society,

 Nocturnal Adoration Society and Hollidaysburg Lions Club. She loved spending time with her

 family and enjoyed baking and preparing meals for them.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In memory of Ann, contributions may be made to Garvey Manor Nursing Home or Our Lady of Mount Carmel Restoration Fund.
