Ann L. Sinisi

Ann L. Sinisi, 88, Altoona, went peacefully to be with the Lord on Thursday at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Philipsburg, daughter of the late Victor and Emma Rose Sciarrillo. She married George F. Sinisi on Sept. 20, 1950, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 29, 2007.

 Surviving are three daughters: Maryann Pellegrine and husband, Steve, Kathleen Lee and Christina Hamilton; two sons: George and wife, Darlene, and Michael and wife, Karin; 12 grandchildren: Melissa Keith, Jessica Coon, Jamie Hauser, Benjamin Lee, Jada Michini, Matthew Lee, Amy Sinisi, Mark Sinisi, Annie Sinisi, Katie Avery, Sarah Beth Hamilton, and Joey Hamilton; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Victoria Edmiston; and two brothers: Raymond and Paul Sciarrillo.

 She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Sinisi; three sisters: JoAnn Helsel, Mary Lou Moellenkamp and Gloria Aug; and two brothers: Frankie and Alfred Sciarrillo.

She worked as a licensed practice nurse at the Hollidaysburg State Hospital and then for many years as a private duty nurse until her retirement, after which she volunteered her time at the Garvey Manor Nursing Home.  She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church.

Ann was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who willingly always put her family before herself.  The memory of her unique personality, her constant nurturing and her wonderful sense of humor will forever be cherished.

A private family service was held at Santella Funeral Home.
