John B. Danella II

John B. Danella II, 63, Altoona, passed away Saturday at his residence.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late John B. Danella, who preceded him in death on April 6, 2005, and Joanne (Kuhn) Danella, who preceded him in death on Sept. 11, 1983.

Surviving are a sister, Sheryl Danella-Hayford and husband, Harold Hayford, of Altoona; a brother, Robert Danella of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a nephew, Robbie Danella and his three sons, Logan, Drake and Vincent; three nieces: Lindsay Danella and her daughter, Payton Martin, Alyssa Danella and Tori (Cody) Danella and her two children, Lacie and Christian Boone; his best friend, George Long; and many cousins and caregivers.

He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Vicki, in 1956.

John was a 1972 graduate of Altoona Area High School. He worked for Danella Motors and enjoyed Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football and spending time with his family.

Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018, at Santella Funeral Home, Altoona, where a vigil for the de­ceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, 2018, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Mausoleum, Altoona.
