John J. Caracciolo, 74, Altoona, passed away Monday evening at UPMC Altoona after a courageous battle with an extended illness.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Porzio) Caracciolo. On Sept. 24, 1966, he married Nancy J. Harvey at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Altoona.

Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years; two children: John E. Caracciolo of Altoona and Nicole M. He would often talk about the Steelers dynasty of the 1970s.
