Marco B. Tomeo

Oct. 25, 1940 – Dec. 22, 2016

Marco B. Tomeo, 76, Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, passed away Thursday at the home.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Joseph and Nancy (Gimo) Tomeo. Surviving are two sons: Joseph M. (Robin) of Camp Hill and Robert E. of Altoona; two grandchildren: Brandon and Tiffany Tomeo; and a sister, Augie Walker of Carlisle.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Benton.

Marco was a graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, where he was a member of the marching band. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1959 to 1963 during the Vietnam War. He retired as a self-employed contractor. He had previously worked for City Beverage, Tomeo Brothers and PennDOT.

Marco was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He enjoyed sports and music.

Friends will be received at a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Altoona. Interment will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery,

Annville. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
