Mary E. Lepore

Mary E. Lepore, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 17, 2019 as a resident of the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Patsy and Rose (DiAntonio) Fusco. She married Ernest Lepore in 1946, who preceded her in passing on November 2, 1966.

Surviving are two sons: Ernest D. (Susan) and Thomas A. (Constance) Lepore. Three grandchildren: Lisa (Don) Bender, Gina Lepore-Angat, and Kevin (Jen) Lepore; Six Great-Grandchildren: Jordan and Brady Bender, Sara Lepore, Alex Angat, and Logan and Lucas Lepore. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and relatives in Italy.

Mary was preceded in death three siblings: Daniel Fusco. who was killed in WWII, Aurelia Lepore, and Orlando Fusco.

She was a 1941 Altoona High School graduate. She retired from J.C. Penney as a hostess in the coffee shop and previously worked in the Sheraton gift shop.

Mary enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

In her most recent years, Mary flourished at the Lutheran Home due to all of the outstanding caregivers, residents, and Administrators that touched her life.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, October 20,2019 at the Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for Mary will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 21, 2019 at Our lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Burial at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona

In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mary may be given to Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg: 916-Hickory Street Hollidaysburg, Pa 16648
