Peyton M. Rovatsos

Feb. 10, 2005 – Feb. 1, 2020

Peyton M. Rovatsos, 14, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday. He was born in Altoona, beloved son of Jerome Rovatsos III and Nikki Schandelmeier.

He is survived by four siblings: Randi Main, Scott Mateo, Scott Stewart and Brittany Rovatsos, all of Altoona; a special cousin, Kim “Hey Hey” Hileman; his parents; and five nieces and nephews: Hayden Shiffler-Cassarly, Talan Shiffler, Emmanuelle Scott Mateo, Arya Renee Stewart and Yesenia Bay Moreno.


Peyton is also survived by a very special uncle, William Lyle Lawson, of Pittsburgh Pa.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Emmanuelle “Te” Mateo.

Peyton was an eighth-grade student at CPDLF and worked at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park and Laguna Splash.

He enjoyed skateboarding and video games and participated with his mother in the Breast Cancer Walk.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at New Creation in Christ Ministry, 1620 16th St., Altoona, with Minister Constance Kemp and Minister Karen Ferguson presiding. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
