Amerigo P. ‘Riggy’ Musto

Oct. 28, 1930 – Oct. 30, 2019

Amerigo P. “Riggy” Musto, 89, Hollidaysburg, passed away Wednesday at his home.

He was born in Altoona. He married Ann T. Stango on June 11, 1955, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 18, 2014.

Surviving are a nephew, Jim Shutt; nieces: Mary Lee Delate and Theresa Watson; and a sister, Nelda Shutt.

Riggy was an Altoona High School graduate. He worked for Bethlehem Steel and also as an accomplished upholster. He later retired from AT&T as the Safety Coordinator. Riggy served as a part of the Naval Reserves during the Korean War.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. He was also a member of the Steel Workers Union and the Bavarian Aid Society.

Riggy enjoyed antique cars, hunting and spending time with his family and friends.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at the Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2019, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery with military honors.
