Anna-Liisa Settle, 86, Altoona, passed away Tuesday June 25, 2019 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She was born June 9, 1933 on the island of Paatio, Finland (now part of Russia), the daughter of the late Vaino and Lyyli (Harjula) Heikkila. She married Ronald Settle on May 3, 1963 in Helsinki, Finland and together they shared 56 years of marriage.

Liisa enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting & knitting, casinos, Sudoku puzzles, baseball, travel and spending time with her family and friends. She spent the summers at her countryside cottage in her native Finland…that was her paradise :)
