Elaine M. Palombi, 89, Hollidaysburg, peacefully passed away Friday at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Burlington, Vt., daughter of the late Homer Sr. and
Eveline (Root) Baker. She married Angelo R. Palombi on June 29, 1946, in
Altoona, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 7, 1982.
Surviving are a son, Robert A. Palombi, of Hollidaysburg; two
daughters: Sandra (Sonny) Harvey of Rochester, Pa., and Darlene (Ronald)
Harella of Hollidaysburg; four grandchildren: Richard (Alena) Harvey,
Lorie (Bill) Nail, Loretta Allison and Lucas (Kylee) Harella; two
great-grandchildren: Lindsy Nail and Cody Harvey; a
great-great-grandchild, Maria Nail; and two brothers: Robert and Donald
Baker in Vermont.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce; and three brothers: Homer Jr., Bernard and Richard Baker.
Elaine was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and a member
of Garvey Manor Confraternity of the Scapular. She enjoyed crafts,
needlework, reading, puzzles and volunteering with Blair Senior
Services.
Friends will be received from 1 until the 2:30 p.m. funeral Mass on
Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Chapel in Garvey Manor.
Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, Elaine’s request was to make donations to Garvey
Manor, 1037 S. Logan Blvd., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Arrangements are
