Frank E. Miller

Frank E. Miller, 91, Golden LivingCenter-Hillview, passed away Sunday at the center.

He was born in Altoona, son of John and Eva Miller. He married Florence Pellegrino, and she died June 29, 2012.

Surviving are three daughters: Carol Antoszkiewicz, Rose Kimmel and Francene Gentsch; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Frank served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a member of the 58th Armored Infantry Division and received three Bronze Stars. He retired from the Pennsylvania Railroad as a riveter. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the A&J Iaia American Legion Post.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 1, 2015, at Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520 Fourth St., Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.
