Jan. 19, 1993 - April 3, 2016

Joshua W. "Harsh" Harshberger, 23, Altoona, passed away on Sunday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Altoona and is survived by his parents: Lynn (Brady) Harshberger and William

R. Harshberger and wife, Denise; two sisters: Ashley and Billie; a half brother, Brandon; and three stepbrothers: Josh, Nick and Cody, as well as nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He is also survived by his loving girlfriend, Erika S., and her son, Avery, whom he loved like his own son.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Georgi "Gia;" and his grandparents.

Josh was employed at Lytle's Transfer and Storage Co., where he worked alongside his best friend and work buddy, his dad. He was known to be the life of the party, and this showed through his fun and goofy personality. He always had to look fresh and fly and was known for his memorable quotes, such as "Wewag" and his famous "Frrdayzz." Josh enjoyed watching all types of movies and TV shows with his sister, Billie, on their "Brother-Sister Days," especially "The Hunger Games," "The Walking Dead" and "Flash." He also enjoyed fishing, camping, working out and playing PS4 with his brothers and co-workers.

What he loved the most was spending time with all his family. Josh was the rock and the shoulder for them to lean on in both good times and bad. He was a very lovable and kind person and was always there for anyone who needed him. He had a huge heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Friends will be received from 4 until the 7 p.m. funeral service today, April 7, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Altoona, Pastor Tyler Pepper officiating.
