Martha A. (Stoltz) Lacivita

Martha A. (Stoltz) Lacivita, 88, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Vernon and Esther (Brown) Troutman. On March 7, 2015, she married Louis A. Lacivita. She was previously married to the late Blair Heisler.

Surviving are her husband, Louis; a daughter, Sherry (John) Scalzi; two grandchildren: John B. and Nicole Scalzi; five great-grandchildren; four sisters: Shirley Vincent, Janet Gray and Darlene Lamertina, all of Altoona, and Linda Cliver in New Jersey; three stepchildren: Michelle Mullen and Anne Meynor of Monroeville, and Louis Lacivita Jr. in Connecticut; and six step-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Vernon “Beanie” and Donald “Ricky” Troutman.

Martha worked as a folder with Butterick Co. Inc. She was a member and president of the Swiss Rifle Club and a volunteer at the Altoona Hospital. Martha was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona.

She enjoyed watching her fish pond, shopping, playing pinochle and spending time with her dog, Faylee.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
