Obituary

Anna L. Vizzari, 97, of State College formerly of Altoona passed away, Friday, January 19, 2018 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. She was born in Altoona daughter of the late Grimaldo and Rosie (Oliver) Ferrara. She married the late Samuel A. Vizzari and he preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 2011.

Surviving are her daughter: Rosemary Demer and husband Andre; Granddaughter: Kirstin V. Demer Floria and husband Len; and a great-granddaughter: Ellia Saverianna Floria. She is also survived by the Scarfone family and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Anna was preceded in death by her two brothers: Frank and Tom Ferrara
She was a 1939 graduate of Altoona High School and was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.
Anna was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great grandmother and was blessed with her granddaughter Kirstin and great-granddaughter Ellia Saverianna, all who idolized the loving, beautiful person she was. Gaga will be greatly missed in so many ways.
Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m at the Santella Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m on Tuesday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
