Carl R. Venturato, 69, Altoona, passed away peacefully at home unexpectedly on Friday.

Surviving are a sister, Stephanie V. Ianuzzi of Altoona; two brothers: Albert J. with whom he resided and Mark A. of Altoona; his aunts and uncles: Danny Venturato, Harry and Donna Pellegrine and Steven and Theresa Pellegrine; and seven nieces and nephews: Mario, Carlie, Ciera, Zachary and Nichole Venturato, Alexa Baker and Beau Ianuzzi.

He retired from Blair Sign Co. as an assembly worker. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Carl loved spending time with his family and attending the Thursday evening bowling league with friends. He also enjoyed classic and antique cars, riding in convertibles and WWF wrestling.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2017, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
