Carmella J. "Carmen" Mainello, 88, Chesapeake, Va., formerly of Altoona, passed away Tuesday at home.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Philip and Donato (Soriano) Mainello.

Surviving are three brothers: Philip (Bernadine) of Altoona, Alfred "Pinky" of Hollidaysburg and Dr. Joseph (Linda) of Port Orange, Fla.; a close nephew, Michael; and many other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra; two sisters: Mary Cure and Lucy Lamassaro; and four brothers: John, James, Patsy and Daniel.

Friends will be received from 9:30 until the 11 a.m. funeral Saturday, Jan. 9, 2016, at Santella Funeral Home, Altoona. Committal will be held at Calvary Cemetery.
