Carol A. Martino, 71, Altoona, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Pitcairn, daughter of the late Russell Sr. and Helen (Orlando) Mento. She married Arthur A. Martino Sr. on Nov. 14, 1964, in Pittsburgh, and he died on Nov. 20, 2009.

Surviving are a son, Arthur A. Jr. and wife, Dana, of Hollidaysburg; two cherished grandsons: Anthony and Nicholas; and two brothers: Louis (Patty) Mento in Maryland and Russell (Kathy) Mento of Altoona.

Carol retired from Blair County Domestic Relations and formerly had worked at Warnaco. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, where she was a reader. She was an avid reader and loved cooking, and she also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 26, 2015, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
