Daniel M. Savino Jr.'s Obituary
Daniel M. Savino, Jr., 34, of Bellwood passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Debra (Watts) and Daniel M. Savino Sr.
He is survived by his father; sisters Amy Johnson (Rich) of Reading, PA and Katie MarDayat of CA; brothers Brian and D.J.; uncles Michael Savino, Jon Watts, and Mike Watts; aunt Nancy Sandlin (Larry); grandmother Olive Savino; cousins Ryan and Chelsey Savino, Jamie Stasky, Tina Eaton (Richard), Ed Urbanek; niece Athena and nephew Julian.
Daniel was preceded in death by grandparents Michael Savino and JoAnna (Jo) Watts.
Daniel graduated from Bellwood High School in 2004. He was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and was stationed in New Orleans for the Katrina disaster cleanup.
Daniel took pride in his concrete work. He worked for his father and was a concrete finisher with the Concrete Finishers and Masons out of Pittsburgh. Daniel was also certified as a power plant cooling tower mason.
Daniel enjoyed working on cars, racing, playing pool, fishing, karate, and basketball. He will always be remembered for his true friendship to many and love for his family.
Friends will be received from 5pm to 8pm, Sunday March 1, 2020, at the Axe & Santella Family Chapel 1534 - 4 th Street, Altoona, PA 16601. A funeral service will be held 10am, Monday, March 2 nd 2020, at the Axe & Santella Family Chapel. Interment at Grandview Cemetery with Military Honors. Arrangements by the Santella Funeral Home.
