Dolores P. Amorosa, 99, Zelienople, formerly of Altoona, passed away Friday at Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

She was born in Portage, daughter of the late Pasquale and Carmela (Notartomaso) Mascia.

On Sept. 4, 1944, she married Anthony J. Amorosa, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 1997.

Surviving are a daughter, Carmilina "Carmie" Suenkonis (Pete); two granddaughters: Tonia Rose (Shawn) of Pittsburgh and Kara Dee Burke (Johnny) of Baltimore, Md.; and a great-grandson, John Anthony Burke.

Dolores was a 1937 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired from Puritan Sportswear.

She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. For many years, she did volunteer work at Altoona Hospital, and she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017, at Santella Funeral Home, Altoona. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Mausoleum, Altoona.
