She was born in Meduna, Italy, daughter of the late Leonard and Maria (Berrozitty) Bidoli. She married Michael Gioiosa on Aug. 22, 1937, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 3, 1991.

Surviving are three loving siblings: Angelica Dukes, Anne Costello and Leonard Bidoli, all of Pittsburgh; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, Angelo "Angie" Gioiosa, who passed away on Sept. 21, 2011; a sister, Rose Lynd; and two brothers: John and Louis.

Elizabeth retired from the Altoona Area School District as a cafeteria aide, and she previously worked for Puritan Sportswear. She was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona, and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 2016, at Santella Funeral Home, Altoona, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidaysburg, or to St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona.
