Ilda I. Santa Maria, 91, formerly of Altoona, passed away Saturday in Frederick, Md.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Guy and Lucy (Iavasile) Santa Maria.

She is survived by many cousins.

Ilda was a 1946 graduate of Altoona High School and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She retired as a secretary from the Department of Interior in Washington, D.C.

Ilda was a talented pianist and was a member of the AARP.

She was a member of Saint John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Frederick, Md.

Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, a private service will be held at the convenience of family. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
