Lena G. Ventre, 87, Altoona, passed away Sunday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She was born in Detroit, Mich., daughter of the late Peter and Michealina "Maggie" (Iacobaccio) Iacobaccio. She married Domenick Ventre in 1950, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 28, 2012.

Surviving are three daughters: Nancy Helsley, Linda (Jeff) Blazier and Amy (Keith) Byers; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Josephine Zanoni; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Wagner; and a son-in-law, Jim Helsley.

Lena graduated from Boswell High School, and she was an avid reader and loved to crochet.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or service. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home, Altoona.
