She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Giovanni and Theresa (Rubino) DeBernardis.

Surviving are a beloved sister-in-law, Erma M. DeBernardis; a brother, Alfred DeBernardis of Silver Spring, Md.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: Albert, Joseph and Angelo.

Louise retired in 1980 from Gable's Department Store with 50 years of service as manager of the Receiving Department. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, and she enjoyed gardening, baking and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
