Surviving are two daughters: Linda Wilson (Harold) of Bellwood and Rosanne Anderson (William) of Etters; two sons: John Scalzi (Sherry) of Altoona and Rocco Scalzi of Hollidaysburg; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dora Gandy of Tampa, Fla.

She was preceded in death by an infant son, Anthony; three sisters: Frances Freet, Edith Tortoreo and Lena Derasmo; and three brothers: Warren, Daniel and Nick Martellacci.

Muffy was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School. She was previously employed at GTE Sylvania, and she retired as an inspector from Tri-Tex. She was a life member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. She loved working with children and was a foster grandmother.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today, Aug. 12, 2016, at Santella Funeral Home, Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
