She was born in Portage, daughter of Michele and Raffaele (Fanella) Reale. She married Joseph L. Mignogna on Oct. 28, 1944. He preceded her in death on Oct. 24, 1996.

Surviving are a son, Dr. Nicholas D. Mignon of Altoona; two sisters: Grace DeStadio of Altoona and Lena Gentile of Blue Island, Ill.; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mary attended Altoona High School and was a member of our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church.

A homemaker most of her adult life, Mary enjoyed cooking, preparing holiday feasts for her family and taking care of her flower garden.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 25, 2015, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Mausoleum.
