Mary C. Rutola, 92, Altoona, passed away Saturday at Wheeling Hospital, Wheeling, W.Va.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of Frank and Marietta (Consiglio) Vestri. She married Edward A. Rutola, who preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 1995.

Surviving are two daughters: Diana M. Wagner (Jeff) of Altoona and Patricia A. Dawson (Chuck) in Ohio; two granddaughters: Amanda Dawson and Bethany Dawson; a sister, Antoinette "Toni" Pirro of Altoona; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; and a special caregiver, Leona Parsons.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe; and three sisters: Ida Buccigrossi, Irma Spallone and Hilda DeStito.

Mary was a graduate of Altoona High School and a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Altoona. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, 2016, at Santella Funeral Home, Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 8, 2016, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
