Mary Louise Verilla, 85, Altoona, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday.

Surviving are her loving husband of 57 years, Michael; a son: Richard Verilla (Christina); two daughters: Michele Verilla and Monica Winter (Robert); four grandchildren: Nathan Verilla, Kailen Gordon (Andrew), Hadley Winter and Griffin Winter; and a great-grandson, Jack Gordon.

She was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School and was a longtime employee of the Altoona Hospital.

Mary Louise was beloved by dozens of close friends and extended family. She will be remembered for her kind and loving heart, her loyalty and patience. She was "one in a million," and those around her are better for having had her in their lives.

Friends are invited to the funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona. Committal will be at Calvary Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
