She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Richard A. and Rosemary (Dollar) Yohn. She married Robert Newkirk on June 20, 1970.

Surviving are her husband; two children: Tracy (Bryan) Travis and Robert II, both of Altoona; three grandsons: Thomas, Joshua and Kyle; a sister, Peenee Yohn of Altoona; and a brother, Gary Yohn of Altoona.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Richard and Robert Yohn.

Nancy was a 1970 graduate of Altoona Area High School. She retired from Altoona Hospital Housekeeping and had also previously worked for Gee Bee.

Friends will be received from 4 until the 6 p.m. funeral service Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., Altoona, Pastor Ed Jelliff officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
