Paul T. McConnell, 78, Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Cumberland, Md., son of the late Melvin and Mary (Knee) McConnell. He married Lillie Belle Stevens, and she preceded him in death in May 2014.

Surviving are a daughter, Shelly Longo; a granddaughter, Elise Longo; and three brothers: Robert, Harold and Michael McConnell.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Corinne McConnell; and a brother, Melvin McConnell.

Paul was an Altoona High School graduate, and he served in the U.S. Air Force as an Airman 1st Class. He retired as an electronics salesman for the Hite Co.

He enjoyed skeet shooting and was inducted into the Pennsylvania Skeet Shooting Hall of Fame. Paul was a founding member of the Hollidaysburg Sportsmen Club and a member of the Riggles Gap Sportsmans Club.

Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, at Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., Altoona, where military honors will be conducted at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday by the Blair County Veteran Honor Guards. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home, Altoona.
