Pauline E. Maier, 85, Altoona, passed away Friday at Maybrook Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Michael and Mary (Banko) Prugar-Bodziak.

Surviving are four children: Mary Rouzer (Joe) of Altoona, Paul (Regina) Maier in Florida, Patricia Reese (Jim) of Tyrone, and Elizabeth Maier of Altoona; seven grandchildren: Crystal, Matthew, Michael, Meghan, Jessica, Jamie and James; a great-grandson, Isaac; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four siblings: Walter, Joseph and Peter Prugar and Nellie Pacovsky.

Pauline was a 1949 graduate of Altoona High School. She worked all of her life. She especially enjoyed working at the PRR Bunk House and, after retiring, being a senior citizen grandmother and a companion volunteer. She was a former member of St. Mark's Catholic Church, Altoona.

To honor Pauline's wishes, a private service will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home, Altoona.
