He was born in Altoona, son of the late George F. and Mildred G. (Yohn) Adams.

Surviving are his companion, Lorie Hartman; a daughter, Jeanette Nolan; two stepdaughters; two stepsons; a grandson, Tyler; a granddaughter, Maranda; four sisters: Iva Pfahler, Charolotte Shumac, Betty Schilling and Sylvia Merritts, all of Altoona; and a brother, Ronald in Virginia.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2016, at Leslie E. Axe Funeral Home, 1520 Fourth St., Altoona. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534 Fourth St., Altoona, Pastor William Ice officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
