Rose Marie Bookhamer, 78, Eleventh Street Tower, Altoona, passed away Sunday at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Andrew and Frances (Dunio) Consalvo. She married Gerald E. Bookhamer on Oct. 27, 1962, and he preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1998.

Surviving are a son, Paul (Elizabeth) Bookhamer of Altoona; six grandchildren: John, Ashley, Annika, Ronan, Zachary and Emily; and a sister, Anna Mae Mentzer of State College.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Bookhamer; and a brother, Samuel Consalvo.

Rose Marie was a 1958 graduate of Altoona High School. She retired as a clerk from Hills Dept. Store.

She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Santella Funeral Home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. immediately following the visitation on Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
