She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Carmen and Rachael (Labriola) Varlotta. On Dec. 31, 1942, she married Joseph A. Policastro. He preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 1997.

Surviving are her daughter: Donna M. McEldowney of Altoona; four grandchildren: Scott (Kim) McEldowney, Rick McEldowney, Stephanie Stubler and Michelle (Don) Booth; ten great-grandchildren: Jordan, Alex, Ian, Makayla, Meaghan, Noah, Evan, RJ, Logan and Chloe; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnn P. Stubler; two brothers: Ralph and Pasquale Varlotta; and four sisters: Lucy Colango, Geniveve LaGanga, Angie and Julia Varlotta.

She worked as a seamstress for LuCretia II Bridals by Donna. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, American Legion Auxiliary and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Buccinese Society.

Theresa enjoyed playing Bingo and visiting casinos. She also was an avid WWF wresting fan and enjoyed watching football and baseball.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
