Winifred J. "Winnie" Hollows, 88, Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.

She was born in Clymer, daughter of the late Winfield and Hazel (Weston) Rosser. On April 27, 1948, she married Donald E. Hollows, and he preceded her in death on June 27, 2013.

Surviving are four children: Tommy (Darlene) Hollows, Julie, Toni (Shawn) Weyer and Robin (Shawn) Bice; five grandsons: Eric Rumfelt, Joshua (Cherean) Hollows, Shawn (Sarah) Weyer, Ian Weyer and Mason Lundberg; and a great-grandson, Evan Rumfelt.

Winnie was a 1947 graduate of Altoona High School.

She enjoyed many friendships throughout her life, and she loved camping, sewing and embroidering in her spare time. She was always the life of the party with her infectious laugh, which everyone loved. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation or service.
