Anita L. DeLeo, 84, Altoona, died Friday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Dominick and Linda (Frederick) Uliano. On November 14, 1959 she married Robert DeLeo Sr. who passed away on October 7, 2006.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Jr. and Richard DeLeo; three sisters: Betty Friedenberger, Wanda Weakland, and Bonnie Wagner (Paul); four grandchildren: Ronni Ann (Louis), Dustin, Anita and Mason; two adopted grandchildren, Adriana and Felicia; two great grandchildren: Gia and Giovanni; former daughter in law, Jill DeLeo; sisters-in-law: Sandy Uliano, Harriet Uliano and Barbara DeLeo Robinson; sister and brother-in laws: Joseph and Sandra DeLeo; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald DeLeo; siblings: Ronald Uliano, Shirley Gardner, Donald and Tony Uliano; brother in laws: James Weakland Sr., Rupert Friedenberger, William Randano; sister-in-law, Louise Randano; and nephew, James Weakland Jr.
She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Anita enjoyed spending time with her family and special dog companion, Bailey.
She also enjoyed caring for many children as a home child care aid.
Friends will be received from 5 to 8 pm Monday, April 15, 2024 in the Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil service will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Interment at Blair Memorial Park.
