Armando “Herbie” DeLeo, 94, of Duncansville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Frank J. and Maria (Trimarco) DeLeo Sr. On Aug. 3, 1982 he married Sondra McAuliffe.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sandy; three daughters: Roberta DeLeo, Mary Jo (Walter) Griffith, and Angela (Darius) Martz; a step-son, Rick Henry; a step-daughter, Shari (Fran) Dallasandro; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Theresa Imbrenda; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six brothers.
Herbie worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad and later retired from Veeder Root.
He loved life, camping, the railroad, and spending time with family.
Herbie was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Duncansville.
Friends will be received from 10:30am until the 11am funeral Mass, Saturday March 13, 2021 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 308 Old Rte 22, Duncansville, PA 16635. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
