Bernard J. Lestochi, 80, Altoona, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022 at his home. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Norman and Carmella (Grande) Lestochi and later married his loving wife, Karen Knotts.
He is survived by his loving wife, Karen; a son, John (Kim) Bullers; 4 grandchildren: Patrick, Daniel, Jennifer, and Tori; a great-grandson, Kade; a brother, Gary (Lori) Lestochi; 2 nephews: Ryan (Jen) Lestochi and Garrett (Allie) Lestochi; a niece, Lauren Lestochi; great nieces and nephews: Jordan, Mia, Tyson, Levi, Roman, and Kole; and his hunting and fishing buddy, Tim Socie.
Bernard was preceded in death by a son, Nicholas Lestochi; a daughter, Christine Bullers; and a brother, Pasquel Lestochi.
Bernard was a graduate of Altoona Catholic High and served in the United States Coast Guard. He later worked as a lineman for Verizon.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, his family, playing Pinochle, and his 10am coffee with the guys. He was also a member of the Swiss Rifle Club.
Bernard was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at noon Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022, at Santella Funeral Home. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery with military honors.
