Bertha M. Raia

Bertha M. Raia, 91, Altoona, passed away Saturday at Celebration Villa of Altoona. She was born in Coalport, adopted by Anthony and Anna Dotto. She was first married to Leonard Boito from 1950 to 1982 and secondly married to Victor Raia, who preceded her in death on March 25, 2019.

She is survived by two sons: Thomas Boito, of Altoona, and Anthony (Sandra) Boito, of Reading; and two grandchildren: Samantha Busch and Sean Stull.

Bertha was a 1947 graduate of Reade Township High School. She started working for Boyer Candy and then worked as a teacher’s aid and cooked in the cafeteria at Glendale School.

She enjoyed Steeler football, crafts, cooking, and spending time with family.

She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

Friends will be received from 11am until the 1pm funeral service Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Santella Funeral Home. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
