Candace L. "Candy" (Schmerbeck) Robertson

Candace “Candy” Robertson, 74, of Altoona, PA passed away on Thursday, April 29, 2021 surrounded by her family after an extended illness.  She was born in Altoona, the daughter of the late Elmer and Buelah (Knox) Schmerbeck.

She married John Robertson on May 25, 1968 and has been blissfully married for fifty-two years.

She is survived by her loving husband; a daughter, Jackie Gutshall and her husband Robert, of Altoona; her only granddaughter, Gabby; her sister, Judy Waksmonski; her brother-in-law and wife, Robert and Brenda Robertson; her sister-in-law, Erminia (Dee) Williams; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Candy was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and held numerous part-time positions while being a homemaker. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and playing cards.

Friends and family will be received from 5-6pm, Monday May 3, 2021 in the Santella Funeral Home with a memorial service beginning at 6pm, with Pastor Rebecca Shuster officiating.

Due to COVID 19, please wear a mask and maintain social distancing while inside the funeral home.
