Catherine "Kay" S. (Crisman) Spinazzola

Catherine S. "Kay" Spinazzola, 84, Altoona, passed away Monday at UPMC Altoona. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Howard and Beatrice (Stiles) Crisman. She later married Dan Spinazzola Jr. in 1956.

She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years; children: Dan III (Karen) Spinazzola, David (Debbie) Spinazzola, Robert (Shannon) Spinazzola, Carol (Barry) McCue, Mark (Molly) Spinazzola, and Mary (Jim) Stanley; 18 grandchildren: Jeremy, Jayme, Julie, Michael, Lindsey, Brinton, Brandon, Dominic, Jarrod, Jenna, Jaci, Matthew, Jennifer, Jessica, Christy, Lauren, Kaden, and Madison; 22 great-grandchildren: Bella, Joseph (JJ), Samuel, Elizabeth (Birdie), Ava, Hayden, Hallie, Hannalee, Kaydee, Gianna, Ben, Mason, Knox, Cooper, Aria, Julia, Alastair, Vienna, Carter, Marley, Paxton, and Presley; and many nieces and nephews.

Kay was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by 6 sisters: Genevieve Schimminger, Jane Crisman, Ora Wesner, Bonnie Caso, Florence Vipond, and Gladys Crisman; and an aunt, Florence Crisman.

Kay was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School and worked for Puritan Sportswear before becoming a homemaker and raising her family.

She was a member of the Allegheny Township Ladies Auxillary and was a Den Mother for Scouting. Kay was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved crafting, crocheting, playing solitaire, bingo, and spending time with her family.

She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church.

At the family's request, a private visitation will be held. A public funeral Mass will be held at 10am Friday, Nov. 27, 2020 at St. Rose of Lima Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
