Dana J. Lang

Dana J. Lang, 79, of Valley View Health & Rehabilitation Center passed away Wednesday at the home.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Bud and Faye Karlie. She married Robert M. Lang. He preceded her in death on Feb. 16, 2012.

She is survived by two daughters: Tonya Manna of Clearwater, Fla., and Chandra Shumac and husband, James, of Altoona; two sons: Randy and wife, Sharon, of Altoona and Shane and wife, Colleen, of Sandy Ridge; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Roby and Terry Karlie, both of Altoona.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona.

Dana retired from the Altoona Hospital Supportive Services.

She was a graduate of Altoona High School.

Dana enjoyed music, hobbies, crafts and painting.

Friends will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014, in the Santella Funeral Home where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Altoona, by Monsignor Timothy Stein. Committal will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
