David A. BonGiorno

David A. BonGiorno, 55, of Altoona passed away unexpectedly at his residence. He was born in Altoona, son of the late Angelo and Carmela (Baldessaro) Bongiorno.

Surviving are his daughter, Olivia BonGiorno; and a son, Anthony BonGiorno; and their mother, Laura Cole. David is also survived by three grandchildren: Giovanni, Marcello and Avonna BonGiorno; sisters, Kelly Pacifico and Teresa Webber (Larry); a brother, James BonGiorno (Kate); and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a niece, Brooke Pacifico.

David was a graduate of Bishop Guilfoyle Catholic High School and Mount Aloysius College, earning a degree as an occupational therapy assistant.

He worked as a personal trainer at the Underground Gym.

David attended Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

He enjoyed motorcycling, his beloved dog (Mikey), and spending time with family and friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 Monday, June 13, 2022, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal at Calvary Cemetery.
