DeVaughn Brawley, a talented and passionate music artist with a smile that lit up every room he entered, passed away on September 12th 2023.

 

At just 28 years old, DeVaughn left an indelible mark on the world through his unwavering love for other people, music, anime, football, and basketball. He had a rare

gift of connecting with people and making each person he encountered feel genuinely special and loved.

 

It was DeVaughn’s kindness and generosity that truly defined him. With a heart as warm as the brightest sun, he had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel valued and

cherished. His infectious smile and the way he embraced life touched the lives of many, leaving an impact that will last forever.

 

DeVaughn always had a deep passion for music. His extraordinary talent as an up-and- coming artist showed immense promise, drawing attention and admiration from all who had the privilege of listening to his music. Devoting countless hours to honing his craft,

 

DeVaughn’s dedication and commitment to making extraordinary music were evident to all.

 

DeVaughn’s multifaceted personality delighted those who knew him best. He possessed a genuine love for anime, often engaging in passionate discussions about his favorite series with fellow enthusiasts. He also had an undeniable devotion to football and basketball, enthusiastically watching and participating in sports whenever he had the chance. He was a huge Eagles fan and was committed to watch every single game.

With the understanding of the power of shared interests, DeVaughn effortlessly brought people together through the mutual joy of these hobbies.

 

In addition to his cherished memories, he leaves behind a loving family who will forever carry his spirit in their hearts. Survived by his mother, Traci Brawley; his father, Don

Reading; his brother, Brandon Meintel; Brandon’s wife, Amy Meintel; his nephew, Dominic Wilson; and his grandmother, Abbei Brawley.

 

He was the light of his mothers life and the source of her unwavering strength. DeVaughn and his father shared a special bond for the love of the Philadelphia Eagles.

He and his brother, Brandon, shared a bond that went beyond blood. Besides being siblings, they were also best friends, constantly encouraging and inspiring each other.

His sister-in-law, Amy, embraced him as a true brother and brought joy and laughter into his life, as he did hers. His nephew, Dominic, held a special place in his heart. They shared countless common interests and created memories that will forever be treasured. Standing as a pillar of wisdom and love, his grandmother, Abbei, known as MeeMaw, loved her “Buster” with all her heart.

 

DeVaughn’s memory will forever hold a cherished place in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to be part of his life’s journey. We mourn the loss of

a remarkable individual whose presence radiated light and joy, touching countless hearts.

Let us honor him for his genuine kindness, unwavering passion, extraordinary music, and the boundless love he generously shared with all. Though he may no longer walk

among us, his spirit will endure eternally within our hearts.

 

Friends will be received from 1pm until the 2:30pm funeral service on Friday, September 22, 2023 at the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534-4th St. Altoona PA 16601.
