Douglas W. Hewitt

Douglas W. Hewitt, 65, Altoona, passed away Sept. 19, 2020 at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Cincinnati, OH, son of the late Howard and Dee (Weaver) Hewitt.

He is survived by his loving wife, Loretta; a son, Douglas Hewitt; two daughters: Marissa Hewitt and Amanda (Jeremy) Boland; two grandsons: Carter and Carson; 3 brothers: David (Cindia), Matthew (Danice), and Michael (Denise) Hewitt; and mother-in-law, Theresa Imbrenda.

Doug graduated from El Modena High School in Orange County, California. He retired in 2017 from maintenance work at Alpha Metals after 38 years of service.

He enjoyed softball, guitar, and spending quality time with his family and friends. He was a member of the Catholic War Vets and the Caesar Batiste.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
