Edith M. Laird, 71, Tyrone, passed away peacefully Tuesday at her home. She was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Clarence and Minerva (Shaffer) Shaw. She later married Paul Laird.
Surviving is her loving husband; a daughter, Lori (Den) Weaver; a son, David (Kim) Webster; 3 grandchildren: Zackery, Paige, and Shyanne; 3 sisters: Carol (Mitch) Thomas, Doris (Denny) Spenser, and Beth May; a brother, Clarence (Lynn Litzinger) Shaw; and her cat, Sammy.
Edith was a Union High School graduate and worked as a homemaker for her family.
She enjoyed arts, crafts, fishing, bird watching, especially hummingbirds. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 11am until the 1pm funeral service on Saturday, June 13, 2020 in the Axe and Santella Family Chapel, 1534-4th St. Altoona.
