Helen V. Ehgartner

 Helen Ehgartner, 68, of Altoona, Pennsylvania entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. 

Helen was born on March 9, 1957 in Altoona, PA to Drex and Teresa (Brennan) McCall. 

In addition to her parents, Helen is survived by the love of her life, David Ehgartner, whom she married on June 8, 2013 at the Jacobs Church in Hesston, PA.; as well as her loving sister, Cindy L. (Jim) Cline of Naples, Florida.; and her beloved stuffed bears, Snowball and Lucille. 

Helen was Catholic by faith and a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Cesare Battisti. 

Helen graduated from Altoona High School in 1975 and attended Mt. Aloysius college to obtain an Associates degree. 

She was an active republican committee woman and served as a Judge of Elections. She also volunteered at the Rep. office. She enjoyed fishing, boating, staying at “The Cottage” at Raystown and enjoyed the sounds and sightings of wildlife in her yard. Helen had a passion and love of dogs. She also loved playing the lottery with her mother, Teresa.

A private visitation will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made in Helen's name to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society
