Helen M. Lioy

Helen M. Lioy, 94, Altoona, passed away Friday at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care. She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Nunzio and Agata (Salina) Cataldo. She later married Arnold T. Lioy and he preceded her in death on Oct. 15, 1991.

Helen is survived by a son, Arnold Lioy, of Nev.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis; and nine brothers and sisters.

Helen retired from Warnaco in 1988 as an operator and examiner. She enjoyed traveling and trips to the casino. Helen was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 2020 in the Santella Funeral Home, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.
