Jacqueline A. “Jackie” DelGrosso, 95, of Altoona, Pennsylvania entered into eternal rest
on Friday, May 1, 2026 at her home surrounded by her family.
Jackie was born in Altoona on April 3, 1931to the late Mary (Cataldo) & Thomas
DelGrosso.
In addition to her parents, Jackie is preceded in death by her loving Sister Grace Good.
Jackie is survived by her loving sister, Sister Paula Delgrosso, a niece Brenda Green,
Great Nephew’s Jeremy Green, Jordan Green, Aftyne Green, a great niece Autumn
Green, a special friend and cousin Patty Trexler, and a special friend Sister Pauline
Kawtoski.
Jackie was Catholic by faith and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Altoona.
She graduated from Lock Haven University Teacher College with a degree in education.
Jackie taught at Hollidaysburg Area School District until her retirement in 1990, when
she began working as the main cook at the Saint Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen which
she did for many years. She loved golfing at Park Hills Country Club and won the
women's championship there many times and was an avid bowler.
Family and Friends will be received for a public viewing on Wednesday, May 6, 2026,
from 4PM until 7PM at the Santella Funeral Home, 1106 8th Avenue., where a prayer
vigil for the deceased will be held at 6 PM with Father Lubo.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10AM at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, 511 20th Street, Altoona, PA., 16602.
