James M. Scarangella, 64, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Altoona, son of the late James R. and Violet (McCauley) Scarangella.
He is survived by two sons: James (Christina) Scarangella II and Jeremy Scarangella; a grandson, Jeremy Scarangella II; two sisters: Patricia Evans and Nancy Creighton; and two brothers: Jeffrey (Lois) and Johnny Scarangella.
James was an Altoona High School graduate and worked in maintenance for Imler’s poultry.
He enjoyed drinking coffee, eating at King’s Restaurant, and spending time with his grandson.
James was a caring and giving person; he continued that in death through the gift of organ, eye, and tissue donation.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. A memorial gathering will be held from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at the Buccinese Society. Arrangements are by Santella Funeral Home.
